Rising Japanese swimming star Tatsuya Murasa delivered a record-breaking performance at the 47th National JOC Spring Swimming Championships in Tokyo. Just two days after turning 18, Murasa dominated the short course meters (SCM) 200 freestyle, winning gold with a blistering 1:41.47. His time shattered his own previous high school national record of 1:42.14, set last October, and put him just 0.33 seconds shy of the overall Japanese SCM record.

The University of Santo Tomas Junior Golden Booters made history in UAAP Season 87, dethroning Far Eastern University-Diliman with a dramatic 2-1 victory in the high school football final. After falling short last season, UST delivered a redemption performance, fueled by goals from Joshua Moleje and James Sunog.
