The University of Santo Tomas Junior Golden Booters made history in UAAP Season 87, dethroning Far Eastern University-Diliman with a dramatic 2-1 victory in the high school football final. After falling short last season, UST delivered a redemption performance, fueled by goals from Joshua Moleje and James Sunog. Their triumph not only ended FEU-D’s 12-year reign but also secured UST's first boys' division title in school history.
UST’s journey to the championship was a testament to resilience, overcoming past heartbreaks, and battling through a challenging season. Despite finishing second in the eliminations and suffering two losses to FEU-D, the Junior Golden Booters prevailed when it mattered most. Their victory marked the first time since Season 72 that the high school football crown changed hands, cementing a new era in UAAP football history.
