Defending champions Far Eastern University-Diliman and Ateneo de Manila University opened their UAAP Season 88 High School 3x3 Basketball campaigns with convincing victories on Monday at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. FEU-D, the two-time reigning 19-and-under boys’ champion, cruised past Adamson, 22-9, behind a balanced effort from Sam Hall, Marc Burgos, Cabs Cabonilas, and JB Cagurangan. Hall sealed the win with a late two-pointer, while Cabonilas, who also had six rebounds and four assists, said he wants to end his high school run by helping the Baby Tamaraws complete a “golden double” after their earlier 5-on-5 title. In the 16-and-under division, Ateneo also began its title defense in firm control, beating UPIS, 21-14, as reigning MVP Sky Jazul fired 11 points, including four two-pointers and the game-winner. The CPU Junior High School Pagsibol Dance Troupe secured another major win after successfully defending its title at the ILOPRISAA 2025-2026 Cultural Contests held on February 19, 2026, at Huasiong College of Iloilo, Ledesco Campus. Competing against other private schools in Iloilo, the troupe once again stood out in the secondary-level dance category through a performance marked by discipline, strong coordination, and deep appreciation for Filipino culture.

The National University-Nazareth School (NUNS) Lady Bullpups kicked off their 2026 volleyball season with a bang, capturing the 2025 Rebisco Volleyball League (RVL) National and Invitational Finals titles. Fresh off their UAAP Season 88 girls’ championship in December, they carried their winning momentum into the RVL National Capital Region finals, where they triumphed on January 9, 2026. Just one day later, they defeated the same opponents, earning the chance to represent Metro Manila in the national finals. Coach Ray Karl Dimaculangan set clear goals for the team: victory, momentum, and learning from the experience, all of which they accomplished with impressive results.

Tribu Salognon of Jaro National High School climbed back to the top of the Dinagyang Festival, winning the Grand Championship in a fiercely contested edition that drew massive crowds and raised the bar for performance quality. Their routine, inspired by the elusive maral leopard cat, stood out for its sharp choreography, cohesive storytelling, and strong musical execution. Judges praised the tribe’s precision and overall impact, sealing their return to the top after previous wins in 2016 and 2017. The victory earned Salognon a P1.5 million cash prize, along with an additional P10 million worth of school development projects, bringing their total incentive to P11.5 million. Meanwhile, Tribu Paghidaet finished as first runner-up, followed by Tribu Pan-ay and Tribu Taga-Baryo, with all groups receiving substantial prizes and project support as part of the city’s effort to connect cultural events with education.

UST Galvanize earned the High School Queens Division title at Dance Supremacy Kings and Queens 2026 on January 10, 2026, after receiving a score of 95.83 at the Solaire Theatre. The UST Senior High School dance group also received the Best Production Design award, recognizing the routine’s strong stage visuals, polished concept, and precise execution.

Congratulations to our High School Girls Volleyball Team for capturing the Division 3 Championship at the Brent Invitational Volleyball League, held on October 11, 2025, at Brent International School Manila! The team showcased incredible skill and determination, sweeping Xavier School–Nuvali in three sets to secure their spot in the finals.

National University-Nazareth School began its UAAP Season 88 girls’ volleyball title defense with a gritty comeback victory over University of Santo Tomas, 22-25, 32-30, 25-21, 25-21, at the Blue Eagle Gym. Led by Diza Berayo’s 24-point explosion and key plays from Akeyla Bartolabac and Ysabella Cruz, the Lady Bullpups turned the tide after dropping the opening set.

BISCAST Laboratory High School proudly claimed the crown at the 2025 Voyadores Festival: Street and Pilgrim Dance Competition held on September 18, 2025. Their vibrant and powerful performance stood out, earning them the coveted Champion title.

The Balangay City High Performing Arts of Mati City, Davao Oriental once again claimed the top spot in the open category of Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan 2025, while Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School–Mana Performing Arts Ensemble led the school-based division. Both champions not only secured ₱1 million each but also dominated the special awards, showcasing exceptional artistry and performance.

Rafael Pablo, a Grade 10 student from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School, delivered a stellar performance at the 16th Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) Invitational Swimming Championship, held from July 19–20, 2025. Representing the Philippines in the 14–15 age group, Rafael clinched one gold medal in the 4×50m Freestyle Relay and secured three bronze medals in the 200m Individual Medley, 50m Breaststroke, and 50m Backstroke.

The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons improved to 2-0 in the 2025 Shakey’s Super League National Invitationals after a hard-earned straight-sets victory over Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (25-16, 27-25, 25-12). Middle blocker Niña Ytang led the charge with 13 points, including a clutch performance in the extended second set that helped UP erase a seven-point deficit and eventually take control of the match.

Ateneo de Davao of Region XI capped off a fairytale campaign with a dominant 67–51 win over Western Visayas’ St. Robert’s International College to capture the 2025 Palarong Pambansa secondary boys’ basketball crown. Breaking away in the fourth quarter with a decisive 9-2 run, Davao never looked back as Jhon Mark Deligrino sealed the win with a coast-to-coast layup for their largest lead of the game.

Western Visayas (WVRAA) stunned defending champions NCR, 76–67, in the Palarong Pambansa secondary boys basketball quarterfinals on May 29 at the Centennial Arena in Laoag. Powered by a strong second-half surge led by Johnelijah Luke Rose, Paul Jovan Santome, and Alfred Ysulan Jr., WVRAA erased a halftime deficit and capitalized on NCR’s turnovers to pull away late in the game.

The Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles made history on May 4, 2025, by capturing their first-ever UAAP Junior High School Boys’ 3x3 Basketball championship with a 22-19 win over UST. Led by standout Sky Jazul, who scored 11 points and was named tournament MVP, the team completed a flawless sweep of the U16 division in UAAP Season 87.

The University of Santo Tomas Junior Golden Booters made history in UAAP Season 87, dethroning Far Eastern University-Diliman with a dramatic 2-1 victory in the high school football final. After falling short last season, UST delivered a redemption performance, fueled by goals from Joshua Moleje and James Sunog. Their triumph not only ended FEU-D’s 12-year reign but also secured UST's first boys' division title in school history.

The Ateneo de Manila High School boys’ volleyball team claimed the U18 championship at the British School Manila (BSM) Volleyball Tournament on March 16, 2025. Comprised of players from both Ateneo Junior High School and Ateneo Senior High School, the squad delivered a dominant performance to secure the prestigious title.
