Murasa's swim built on the momentum of his long-course national high school record of 1:45.67, a performance that secured his spot at the World Championships earlier this year. His rapid improvement has drawn comparisons to Olympic legend Michael Phelps, as his recent times at 17 years old surpassed what Phelps achieved at the same stage in his career. With his trajectory, Murasa is quickly becoming a rising force in international swimming.
