Thomasville High School’s Tigers reached a historic milestone with their 700th varsity football victory, a 50-0 win over Sumter Central. The Tigers became just the fifth program in AHSAA history to achieve the mark, joining T.R. Miller, Oneonta, Fayette County, and Deshler in the elite 700-win club. With a current record of 700-353-49, Thomasville has built its legacy over more than a century of competition.

MaxPreps’ latest feature on the longest active state-championship streaks highlighted the dominance of U.S. high school swim programs, led by Carmel (Ind.) High School girls, who have won 39 straight titles since 1987. Guided by Coach Chris Plumb, the Greyhounds are widely regarded as the premier high school program in the nation and will pursue their 40th crown in February.

Sky Bound, a high school girls' soccer team made up of athletes from Matanzas, Flagler Palm Coast, and St. Joseph Academy, captured the gold medal in the High School Women’s Division at the Challenge Sports 3v3 National Championship held in Kissimmee from August 1–3. The team went undefeated through six games, securing a thrilling 4-3 win over GFC Williston in the final.

The Glen Ridge High School boys basketball team continued its strong momentum from the winter season by claiming its first-ever Bloomfield Summer League title. The Ridgers edged out Caldwell in a thrilling 44-42 semifinal before securing the championship with a 55-44 win over host Bloomfield High School on July 24.

Great news from San Antonio! Harvest Christian Academy, representing Edinburg Parks & Rec, showcased their basketball prowess by dominating the Varsity Girls Gold Bracket at the Road to Nationals South Texas Championship. The team went undefeated throughout the tournament, culminating in a decisive victory over Houston Dash Elite to clinch the championship title.

Baylor Stanton and Hannah Claire Jowers delivered standout performances at the Gwinnett County Swim League Championship, each breaking multiple records during the high-energy meet at Georgia Tech. Stanton, a Cal commit from Gwinnett Aquatics, shattered two longstanding LSC records in the 50 backstroke (21.59) and 50 freestyle (20.32), while also winning the 100 free and anchoring impressive relay splits.

Kalamazoo Christian girls soccer claimed the 2024-25 Division 4 state championship on June 14 at Michigan State’s DeMartin Stadium, capping off a dominant season. Their title victory not only solidified their place in program history but also earned them the distinction as the Kalamazoo area’s Ultimate High School State Champion.

The Somerset Berkley Regional High School boys basketball team was honored in a heartfelt ceremony where players, coaches, and staff received their Division 2 state championship rings. The City of O’Fallon proudly honored O’Fallon Township High School’s girls soccer team by proclaiming June 16, 2025, as “OTHS Girls Soccer State Champions Day.” The team captured the IHSA State Championship on June 7 with a thrilling 1-0 overtime win against Naperville North, capping off a dominant 23-1-1 season.

Hanover High School’s boys rugby team captured the Division 2 state championship on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with a commanding performance over Brookline High School at Curry College. The game was marked by standout plays from Aidan Boutin, Juneau Mofford, and Love'on Flowers, who each scored crucial tries to fuel Hanover’s momentum.

Brookline High School’s boys volleyball team ended a 33-year title drought by winning the Division 1 state championship in a thrilling four-set match over Needham at Xaverian Brothers High School. Led by senior outside hitter Kristaps Vaivars’ 27 kills and a deep supporting cast, the Warriors overcame a first-set loss to win 20-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-15, securing their first state crown since 1992.
