In a dramatic overtime finish, Klein Cain made history by securing its first-ever UIL Class 6A Division I Boys Soccer state championship with a 1-0 victory over Alief Elsik. Junior forward Parker Glenn scored the game's only goal during the first overtime period, earning him the title of Most Valuable Player. Glenn credited his team's unity and perseverance for the victory, expressing how surreal it felt to win the championship alongside teammates, a new coach, and a supportive community. His heartfelt words underscored the deep emotional significance of the win, making it an unforgettable moment for him and the entire team.
This milestone achievement was accomplished under the guidance of first-year Head Coach Jerson Carrasco, who led the team to a remarkable 24-2-3 record and a 22-match unbeaten streak. Klein Cain’s victory added another chapter to Klein ISD's storied soccer legacy, joining the ranks of Klein High and Klein Oak as state champions. With this historic win, the Hurricanes have etched their name in the annals of Texas high school soccer, and Klein Cain now proudly stands as a new symbol of excellence in the district. "We will remember this win for the rest of our lives," said Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown, reflecting the pride of the entire community.
