Northside Pulls Away to Win 2026 Boys Class 2A Basketball Championship

Northside High School won the 2026 Boys Class 2A Basketball Championship with a 51-39 victory over Pelahatchie Attendance Center on Saturday, March 7, 2026. After leading 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, Northside built a 22-14 halftime advantage and stayed ahead the rest of the game.

Northside High School won the 2026 Boys Class 2A Basketball Championship with a 51-39 victory over Pelahatchie Attendance Center on Saturday, March 7, 2026. After leading 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, Northside built a 22-14 halftime advantage and stayed ahead the rest of the game.

A key 14-3 run helped Northside gain control, with Jamarion Johnson scoring eight points during that stretch. Johnson finished with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and three 3-pointers, while Dai’qwaunn Price added 11 points and 9 rebounds. Xavier Thomas also contributed 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists as Northside won the rebounding battle 38-26. For Pelahatchie, Laterrion Irvin led with 21 points and 7 rebounds, while Kaiden Davis and Tyson Beeman added 6 and 5 points.
