In a thrilling conclusion to the Gateway Conference championships at Fort Family Regional Park in Jacksonville, Wolfson High School captured victory over Fletcher High School in both the girls' and boys' soccer finals on January 16, 2026. The girls’ match was an intense battle, stretching through double overtime before heading to penalty kicks. Caroline Campbell sealed the win for the Wolfpack with the decisive fourth penalty, giving Wolfson a 4-2 shootout triumph. The team celebrated wildly, hoisting the championship trophy and dousing head coach Chris Brunner with Gatorade, while Fletcher players consoled each other after a hard-fought loss.
The boys’ final was equally competitive, though slightly tighter, with Wolfson edging Fletcher 1-0. Midfielder Adrian Darajati scored the match’s lone goal, and goalkeeper Spencer Burris made key saves to preserve the clean sheet. Wolfson’s disciplined defense and clutch plays under pressure earned them the championship trophy, completing a remarkable day of victories for the Wolfpack.
