Nomzamo Secondary and Hoërskool Menlopark claimed their first-ever DStv Schools Netball Challenge (DSNC) titles in a groundbreaking tournament that highlighted resilience, development, and equal opportunity. Nomzamo dominated in the Ubuntu stream with a commanding 25-17 win over Lambalati Secondary, while Menlopark staged a dramatic comeback to edge Paarl Gim 22-21 in the Botho stream final.

Musingu Boys’ High School, known as the Scorpions, secured their second consecutive Western Region boys’ football title with a decisive 2–0 victory over Ebwali Secondary. Both goals came in the first half, ensuring Musingu's dominance and progression to the national stage as regional champions.

St Joseph’s Boys High School (JOBO) from Trans Nzoia County emerged victorious in the 2025 Rift Valley Region Secondary Schools Sports Association (RVSSA) football championship after edging Kimuron Boys 1-0 in a dramatic final. The match was decided by a 91st-minute strike from standout striker Instin Simiyu, who capped off a stellar tournament performance.

St Mary’s School Yala showcased resilience and flair as they overturned a 10-0 deficit to defeat Anjego 26-15 and successfully defend their Nyanza Region rugby sevens crown at Kisumu Polytechnic. Kalamazoo Christian girls soccer claimed the 2024-25 Division 4 state championship on June 14 at Michigan State’s DeMartin Stadium, capping off a dominant season. Their title victory not only solidified their place in program history but also earned them the distinction as the Kalamazoo area’s Ultimate High School State Champion.

Corinth Secondary School (CSS) ended a 10-plus-year title drought with a dominant six-wicket win over Choiseul Secondary in the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Under-15 School 40 Over Cricket Championship. Led by Ethan St. Marthe’s devastating bowling spell and a steady batting response, CSS reasserted its cricketing legacy at Gros Islet Playing Field.

Redhill School's U-17 netball team from Johannesburg has achieved a historic victory by winning the World Schools Netball Cup in the UK — a first for any South African school, and remarkably, on their debut appearance. Going undefeated through every match, the team impressed international spectators with their structured and composed style of play, despite only having two months to prepare.

Choiseul Bay PSS came within a point of toppling reigning champions Panatina CHS in their opening match at SISSG25, narrowly losing 11–10 after leading for most of the game. Their late arrival in Honiara following a rough sea journey and missed opening ceremony didn’t stop them from delivering a gutsy performance.

The Somerset Berkley Regional High School boys basketball team was honored in a heartfelt ceremony where players, coaches, and staff received their Division 2 state championship rings. Coach Athi Dlakana praised her team’s resilience and expressed confidence that they can challenge for the national crown at the finals in Gauteng later this month.

After an impressive win at the KwaZulu-Natal provincial finals, Shayamoya High School is setting its sights on national glory at the upcoming DStv Schools Netball Challenge (DSNC) finals, scheduled for July 25–26 in Boksburg. Crowned Botho stream champions, the team defeated Welabasha High School 25-15 to earn their spot among South Africa’s top school netball squads.

The Royal Orchard Middle School (ROMS) dance crew made history by securing first place in both their category and overall age group at the prestigious Strive Dance Competition on April 23, 2025, in Milton. This was the school’s first time competing at the provincial level, and their dynamic performance celebrated cultural diversity and student leadership.

Clovis West High School delivered a clean sweep at the 2025 CIF Central Section Swimming and Diving Championships, with standout performances from juniors Sophia Oka-Fedder and Audrey Hill on the girls’ side. Oka-Fedder shifted from the 200 IM to win the 200 freestyle in 1:50.30 and defended her 100 free title, while Hill set a meet record in the 100 butterfly at 54.82. Together, they helped set a meet record in the 400 freestyle relay and lifted Clovis West to two relay golds.
