Highlands Dance Team Celebrated by City Council After National Championship Win

The Highlands High School Varsity Dance Team received special recognition from the Fort Thomas City Council in April after winning big at the National Dance Alliance National Championship in Orlando. Competing against 40 teams, the group claimed first place in the Medium Pom category and secured second in Large Hip Hop.

The Highlands High School Varsity Dance Team received special recognition from the Fort Thomas City Council in April after winning big at the National Dance Alliance National Championship in Orlando. Competing against 40 teams, the group claimed first place in the Medium Pom category and secured second in Large Hip Hop.

This marks the team’s first national title, building on their recent double state championship success. Mayor Eric Haas awarded each dancer a certificate, acknowledging the dedication of Head Coach Ashley Wrobleski and Assistant Coach Molly Ferring in guiding the team to victory.
