Mountain Crest set the tone early in the 4A girls' soccer championship, scoring twice in the first three minutes to seize control and eventually defeat Timpanogos 3-1. Led by standout performances from Hadli Barrera and a rock-solid defense, the Mustangs showcased the dominance that defined their season, reclaiming the state title for the third time in four years.

The Mustangs capitalized on a lightning-fast start, with goals from Mylee Myers and Barrera giving them a quick 2-0 edge. Barrera, a Utah State commit, added another goal in the second half — her 34th of the season — as Mountain Crest’s defense, anchored by goalkeeper Hadly Glenn, kept Timpanogos largely at bay. Despite a late goal from the Timberwolves, Mountain Crest’s early firepower and season-long resilience sealed their championship comeback.
