FEU-D, the two-time reigning 19-and-under boys’ champion, cruised past Adamson, 22-9, behind a balanced effort from Sam Hall, Marc Burgos, Cabs Cabonilas, and JB Cagurangan. Hall sealed the win with a late two-pointer, while Cabonilas, who also had six rebounds and four assists, said he wants to end his high school run by helping the Baby Tamaraws complete a “golden double” after their earlier 5-on-5 title. Jeralyn Rodriguez of the University of the East and Kharis Pantonial of Nazareth School NU delivered record-breaking performances on the second day of the UAAP Season 87 High School Athletics Championships at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium. Rodriguez blazed through the 200-meter dash in 24.92 seconds, surpassing the previous mark of 25.05 seconds. This victory added to her stellar season, having also broken the 100-meter dash record earlier. Her dominance helped UE surge ahead in the team standings with 211.5 points, overtaking defending champion UST.
