Defending 5A champion Olympus continued its midseason surge with a 1-0 win over Brighton, marking the teams’ first meeting since last year’s state final. Eliza Anderson’s first-half goal, intended as a cross, proved decisive as the Titans extended their region win streak to four.

After months of preparation, the Olympus High School girls' soccer team outlasted Brighton in a dramatic penalty shootout to win the 5A state championship. Goalkeeper Joss Baker delivered two clutch saves, while the Titans converted all four of their penalties to secure a 4-2 PK victory after 100 scoreless minutes. The triumph marks Olympus’s first state title since 2020, denying Brighton its first crown in a decade.
