KZN Teens Shine on World Stage at International Dance Championship

Two talented dancers from Eshowe High School, Amukelwa Xulu and Sifundo Mpungose, have made South Africa proud by representing the country at the prestigious UDO World Championship in Blackpool. After dominating local and provincial dance sports leagues, they earned spots on the all-star national team and showed off their skills on an international platform.

After dominating local and provincial dance sports leagues, they earned spots on the all-star national team and showed off their skills on an international platform.

Their journey included a special capping ceremony in Durban and an unforgettable performance that saw them reach the semi-finals—Amukelwa even advancing as a soloist. Their return on 20 August was met with celebration, marking not only a personal victory but also a proud moment for their school and community.
