History made by four high school boys’ basketball teams in Ohio to claim the state championships

The OHSAA state championships took place at the University of Daytona arena over the weekend where four Ohio boys’ basketball teams claimed the state championships for their high schools.

In Division I, Cleveland St. Ignatius took on Centreville. Coming out on top 66-56, Cleveland St Ignatius claimed its first state title since 2001.

In Division II, Kettering Archbishop Alter managed to claim the title against Zanesville Maysville 68-54, also winning their first state championship since 2001.

In Division III, Cleveland Heights Lutheran East managed to claim their third state title in the last four years. Playing against Canal Winchester Harvest Prep, Cleveland came out on top 45-36.

Division IV saw a third straight win for Richmond Heights as they beat Berlin Hiland 62-35.

Next years state championships will see the arrival of 3 more divisions across the weekend.
