The Exeter High School boys' soccer team capped off an undefeated season with a 2-0 victory over top-seeded Bedford in the Division I state championship. Led by standout striker Alan Barretto, who scored both goals, and a rock-solid defense anchored by senior goalkeeper Alex Fooa, the Blue Hawks secured their sixth state title, their first since 2016. Their 17-0-3 record silenced doubters and cemented their status as the best team in New Hampshire.
Exeter’s disciplined defense held a high-scoring Bedford team scoreless, while Barretto delivered in clutch moments, sending the student section into a frenzy. Head coach Dan Curran praised his team’s resilience and execution, particularly against a formidable opponent. With their triumph, the Blue Hawks proved their dominance and added another championship trophy to their storied program.
