Epsom College's cricket teams had a summer to remember, recording a total of four national titles, with boys teams and girls teams winning two each. It represents a record-breaking season which saw the most cricket success for the school in their history.
The first trophy came through the Girls U17 team when they became T20 National Champions in July. It was an impressive victory over a strong Bede's and Stamford side. Epsom almost had another title a few days later, however the U18's finished runners up against Ipswich School in their National Cup final. A second national title arrived shortly after when the U13 boys defeated King Edward's Birmingham to win the National Cup, capping off an extremely impressive two year undefeated run.
Following an already successful summer, the successful season continued at the start of September as the U15 girls won their T20 National title through comprehensive victories over Clifton College and Repton. The U17 Boys then grabbed another national title in their victory over Solihull School held in Loughborough, through the help of an excellent unbeaten century from Nathan.
With all the success seen throughout the season, which includes various other wins in other festivals and cups, alongside the vast amount of cricket teams that the school field, it is hard to argue against their credentials of being one of, if not the best school for cricket in the country.
