The University of Johannesburg (UJ) Athletics Club put on a spectacular performance at the 2026 University Sport South Africa (USSA) Track and Field Championships, securing their second consecutive title with a remarkable 347-point victory in Cape Town. Competing at the University of the Western Cape from April 23 to 25, the "Orange Army" showcased their dominance, amassing a total of 38 medals, including 11 gold, 12 silver, and 15 bronze. The team excelled across various events, from sprints and jumps to middle-distance races and throws, with standout performances from national 100m champion Joviale Mbisha and 100m sprint star Tshepo Tjantini.
