Jennings-Haumaha had strong support from Amaia Edwards (15 points), Marewa Waerea-Tamai (14 points), and Teia Grace (13 rebounds), as TKTK’s depth and intensity overwhelmed their opponents. While Te Kura Kōkiri battled hard behind the Biel sisters’ efforts, it was Te Koutu’s relentless attack and defensive pressure that secured the Ngaire Lee Cup once again, cementing their status as the team to beat in girls’ secondary school basketball.
