AGS’s Under-13 athletes delivered a series of committed and disciplined performances at the 2026 BSME Games, competing across netball and basketball over three days of intense competition.

From the opening fixtures on Day 1 through to the final matches, AGS pupils represented their school with pride, resilience and professionalism, consistently demonstrating strong teamwork and respect for opponents.

Although the tournament did not end with silverware, the squad’s attitude and conduct stood out throughout the event. Parents and staff from several participating schools praised the AGS players for their sportsmanship and positive behaviour, highlighting the team as one of the most disciplined groups at the tournament.

A particular highlight came in netball, where Year 8 pupil Judy was awarded Netball Player of the Tournament, recognising her outstanding performances and consistency across the competition.

Coaches and staff expressed their pride in the group’s development over the weekend, noting significant progress in both technical ability and match temperament.

With valuable competitive experience gained, the AGS U13 squad will now return to training as they prepare for the next stage of the school sports calendar.
