Yet Stewart's Melville stayed strong and held out to secure the win.
Junior Girls' Cup: Edinburgh Academy and Strathallan couldn't be separated after regulation and had to go to penalties which ultimately saw Edinburgh Academy come out on top. The game, which ended 1-1, saw Strathallan take the league through Sophie Dick before Edinburgh Academy equalised almost immeditely when Abigail Orr scored a rebound. Neither team could get another goal and in the shoot-out it was Tilly Yeomans who scored the decisive strike to win 3-2 on penalties and secure the trophy.
Junior Girls' Challenge Cup: St Aloysius came out on top in their first ever appearance on Junior Schools' Cup final day with a 3-1 win over Kelso High School. Kelso started on the front foot which a goal from their first attack after they received a penalty corner which Zoe White smashed in. St Aloysius came back through goals from Kate Mulgrew and Olivia Bradley to take a 2-1 lead into half-time. Team captain Brie D'Andrea then added a third through a penalty corner of their own, helping St Aloysius to victory.
Junior Girls' Plate: Dollar Academy lifed the Plate in convincing fashion after a 5-0 victory over the High School of Dundee. Dollar started fast and had two quick goals from Annabelle Keatch and Sophie Adamson. However, Dundee didn't give up and came close a few times themselves with penalty corners and an impressive attempt on goal from Holly Bell which was agonisingly close. In the second half Dollar pushed and were rewarded as Adamson completed her hat-trick with a quickfire double before a fifth goal squeezed in to help Dollar to a big victory.
Junior Boys' Plate: Fettes College defeated Jordanhill 2-1 in an end-to-end game with all the goals in the first half. Fettes started well with Kaze Cordero causing Jordanhill problems and it was his goal that opened the scoring. 2-0 came soon after after a pile of Fettes' players managed to get the ball into the net. Jordanhill continued to play their game and deservedly got a goal before the break through Hamish Meikle. In the second half the attacking hockey continued but neither side could find the target and it ended with a Fettes victory.
