The team behind the World School Games Event Series recently announced a brand new multisport event set to be held in Doha, Qatar - World School Games Olympia.
WSG Olympia will, in January 2026, succeed the "famous" World School Games held annually in Dubai, UAE following ten successful editions.
As the flagship event in the company's wider series, WSG Olympia encompasses swimming, athletics, and football across an action-packed three-day schedule as young athletes from across the globe compete together.
The company says its multisport event has "a rich history of bringing together different cultures" and that the announcement marks "a new era" for the competition which will be "bigger and better than ever".
Entries are open to school teams in U11, U13, and U15 age groups, with a number of opportunities to win both individual and team accolades on the world stage.
Following ten editions of 'WSG Dubai' since 2018, the event will relocate to Doha, Qatar between 29th-31st January 2026.
Qatar cemented itself as an iconic sporting country after hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and WSG Olympia will utilise state-of-the-art facilities at Aspire Zone.
