Gauteng completed a dominant double at the South African National School Championships, capturing both the men’s and women’s U-17 softball crowns. The finals were held on 14 December 2025 at the Red Sox Baseball and Softball Diamonds in Kempton Park.

In the women’s division, Gauteng entered the playoffs as the top seed after a strong round-robin performance, followed by Western Cape, KwaZulu Natal, and Limpopo. KwaZulu Natal opened the playoffs with a narrow 6–5 victory over Limpopo and carried that momentum into the semifinal, defeating Western Cape 13–8. But Gauteng proved too strong in the final, securing the women’s championship with a decisive 10–3 win.

The men's competition followed a similar trajectory, with Gauteng again topping the round-robin standings ahead of Western Cape, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga. Limpopo began the playoffs with a 9–4 victory over Mpumalanga before falling 14–10 to Western Cape in a high-scoring semifinal. In the championship game, Gauteng delivered their most dominant performance of the tournament, shutting out Western Cape 10–0 to claim the men’s title and complete a clean sweep of both divisions.
