Finborough School Crowned Suffolk U19 Netball Champions

Finborough School is celebrating a major sporting success after its Under-19 netball squad claimed the county title at a tournament featuring eight schools from across Suffolk.

The mixed-year squad, made up of pupils from Years 10 to 13 and jointly captained by deputy head girl Molly Atkin-George and Mya Moody, remained unbeaten throughout the competition to secure the championship and advance to the Regional Finals next February, where they will face the top schools from across the East of England.

Head of Netball Mrs Donna Cooper praised the team’s performance, saying:

“The girls played with incredible heart, discipline and determination. Their teamwork and resilience were outstanding, and I couldn’t be prouder of how they represented Finborough.”

Headmaster Mr Steven Clark added:

“This is a fantastic achievement for our students and a testament to the strength of our sports programme. We are immensely proud of the team and grateful to our staff for their dedication. We wish the squad every success as they move forward to the regional round.”

Finborough finished the entire tournament undefeated, underlining their dominance on the court.
