Dakota Lancers Go Back-to-Back as Winnipeg High School Football Crowns Champions

Winnipeg High School football saw three thrilling championship games, with the Dakota Lancers securing their second straight title. In the AAA final, the Tec Voc Hornets outlasted the John Taylor Pipers 24-11, fueled by a strong defensive performance and a late fourth-quarter touchdown. Tec Voc's Noah Heppner earned MVP honors, crediting his teammates for their collective effort in bouncing back from last year’s disappointing finish.

In the JV9 final, the Vincent Massey Vikings stunned the previously undefeated Miles Mac Buckeyes with a dominant second-half performance, securing a 40-16 victory. The Vikings broke open a tied game with four unanswered touchdowns, including a trick-play fake punt for a score. Head Coach Gavin Young praised his players and coaching staff for the team’s resilience and execution, calling it an unforgettable moment under the stadium lights.
